Hello friends,
I really missed been here, I have been very busy of late. Also
my twin sister from another parent was getting married to her heartthrob and I
was just too overwhelmed with joy to write anything.
I decided to do this post today due to a lot of things I have
been seeing lately. People eat lots of poison nowadays in the name of food. A
matured adult told me that her favourite food is noodles.
Ignorant they say is a big enemy but it is not an excuse to
continue to do things wrongly. We all browse the internet all the time right?
Why can’t you just take a little time out to at least search for the health value of noodles?
You that mum out there that keep giving these children
noodles in the morning, hot dog or doughnuts in the afternoon and fries for dinner;
note that you are poisoning their system. Don’t even tell me that you garnish
it with eggs or vegetables; they are not enough to wash off the bad effect of
everyday eating of the nonsense called food.
When last did you take your kids out for medical check-up?
Some of them complain all the time of stomach ache; they even vomit, at times
we deworm them thinking is worm but is not; it is indecent eating.
Decency initiative went to schools recently for its decency
campaign, while talking to children one on one; we discovered that these kids
are suffering. A nine year old child told me he was diagnosed of chronic
hypertension since he turned seven years old, now he feels so sad because his
doctor told his parents not to give him certain food; some of these foods are
his favourites.
Then in the secondary school, a fourteen years old boy also
has diabetics and he feels sad as well because he does not like all the kinds
of food his doctors said he should be eating.
These two lads are not doing too well in their academics as
much as they used to do before as a result of these problems. We went ahead to
talk to a few doctors to understand more about their problems and how we can
help them.
Low and behold, the damage has been done already and these
diseases are incurable, hence these little friends of mine will be on
medication and special diet all the days of their lives; HOW SAD.
One thing the doctors said that made me cry was the fact that
the fault of their ailments are from their parents. They are career women so
they left these kids in the hands of the maid without proper supervision.
Again, adults are not exempted from indecent eating. A
colleague of mine told me that she drinks a bottle of soft drink at every meal;
she confessed that she can never enjoy her meal without them and she is in her
thirties, imagine. All the chemical components they are adding together to make-up
these drinks are not good for the body. Caffeine, bi-carbonate, quinine and the
rest of them are all very dangerous.
Hypertension, diabetics, cancer and all other deadly diseases
are now more common than ever. Minimize your sugar, salt, caffeine, fat and
saturated oil intake for your own good please.
