Investing in Women & Girls

Matters relating to women and girls should not be neglected. Today, our society recognizes the role of women more than ever. That is why they now believe that "What a man can do, a woman can do as well and even do it more better".



Then there is another popular one which says "Train a woman, Train a nation" This is very true, the earlier our society allow women to explore their God given talent the better. 

Some people call it “empowering” women and girls. We at Yali Network calls it “investing.” That’s because each action you take to increase a woman’s access to equal opportunities in the workplace, a girl’s access to equal opportunities in the classroom, and steps you take to eliminate the scourge of gender-based violence benefits the community, country, and continent.
#Africa4Her is a Network-wide initiative to spur awareness and positive action around women’s issues. It is one of the programmes of YOUNG AFRICAN LEADERS INITIATIVE (YALI).

Dear friends i urge you to visit www.yali.state.gov/courses to take any of the free online courses. The good thing about these courses is that there are free and are short courses, a total of 5mb is required to finish each course. i have taken two course myself and i tell you, they are interesting and inspiring.


the course i took on UNDERSTANDING CLIMATE CHANGE, really enabled me to know how badly the climate has changed and what i can do to help the situation.
