How to Solve Issues That Causes Depression in order Not to Contemplate Suicide

Happy new week friends, today’s edition is the concluding part of OMT T.s story. In the last edition, we stopped at when Omo T opened the door after hearing the name that;
only her parents and siblings do call her, on seeing her parents, she ran to her dad, clanged to her and wept.

The police, guardian and neighbors all left so that she can have a good time with her parents. If it were to be here in Nigeria, everybody will like to know right there why Omo T have to lock herself up before leaving, but trust me, in foreign countries no one pork nose into another person’s affair.

She calmed down after a while and narrated to her parents everything that has been going on. She has a cancerous cell in her ovary that has to remove as quickly as possible because they were spreading very fast; The thought of how to break the news to her loved ones especially her fiancé made her depressed to the extent of locking herself up for days without food.

Her parents urged her to be positive. “A lot of people have gone through what you are going through and have come out strong” they told her. Her major concern was that, the ovaries will be removed because the cancerous cell has already spread to the two. “Which man in his right senses will marry a woman who has no ovaries?” she always complained.

The thought of losing the only man she has truly loved made her even more depressed.
Omo T’s parents saw that she is not strong enough to go through all these alone and that it is dangerous to leave her in that condition. Therefore, they decided to come back to Nigeria with her and she succumbed.

On reaching Nigeria, they concentrated on pampering her with lots of gifts to help her forget her sorrow to no avail. One day, she made them to know that the only thing that can change her mood is when her fiancé agree to marry her with or without ovaries.

They encouraged her to let him know. She invited him over and broke the news. They both wept for several minutes, but then he opened up and said he was not going to marry her without ovaries, as he would love to have his own children.

Omo T’s parents tried to convinced her that they are numerous men out there that will not care if she has ovaries or not and will love and cherish her. “Besides marriage is not even the only thing that gives one joy in life, there are a whole lot of things out there that can give one greater joy like impacting in other people’s lives” they tried to convince her.

However, Omo T made it clear to them that she will not be going back to the United Kingdom to complete her studies; she will never go back to the place where all the doctors that wants to cut off her ovaries lives. “Everything about UK reminds me of ovarian cancer” she complained.

At this point, the parents needed to have taken her to a psychologist to be counseled, the situation was becoming rather psychological as she has developed phobia disorder.

Rather, they helped her to secure a lucrative job at Number one Telecommunication company in Nigeria, her father gave her a new, Kia Pic-canto jeep to congratulate her on her new job, all these were meant to make her feel happy to no avail.

On the long run, Omo T committed suicide, taking one’s life is the most dreaded thing that can happen to anyone. No one has the right to take his or her life and even another person’s life.

Depression kills, try to avoid it as much as you can. When you are depressed, speak out. Talk to someone you can trust, don’t withdraw yourself from people; seek for help before it is too late.

Having gone through Omo T’s story, try to care for your life as much as you can for it has no duplicate, believe in God, take your worries to him and he will bare your burden. I have met a lady who lost her womb after series of abortion, when she met with God and began to serve him truthfully, The Almighty surprised her by giving her a husband, and she has three kids now.

He said, “Is there anything that is difficult for me?” and the answer remains no. Believe wholly on Him and He shall put an end to all your pains.
Next week, I shall be discussing the ways to avoid depression, possible signs that show that you are at danger of committing suicide and exactly what you need to do to save yourself. Till then, have a wonderful time.
CHEERS!
